Church Ministries

Ministry is often an overused, religious term that makes people think of someone with a special title and a special job. In reality, ministry simply means serving others and being an effective ambassador of Jesus Christ. Every believer is a minister of Christ's love. Ministry isn't something that you have so much as it's something that you do.

At NTNCC, our desire is to propel believers to be effective ministers to the world. That can mean a neighbor that needs to know you care or a mission on the other side of the world. In addition to world ministry, it's also important to be a part of a local church body and help encourage other believers. Here are some areas here at NTNCC where you can be involved:

• Music - Music is a big part of our local body. We are a group of believers who love to worship and praise God. We want everything we do to be done in excellence to bring glory to God. From singing or playing an instrument to helping with the sound equipment, there's a lot to do to lead the church in worship.
  
  
• Nursery - We provide a safe, loving environment for infants and toddlers through age three. It is our pleasure to take special care of your infant, play with your toddler and teach them about God's love through Bible stories, music, and play.
  
  
• Children's Church - Offered on Sunday mornings for ages 4 to 11 after praise and worship, children's church gives children a chance to learn about God through stories, crafts, and a curriculum made just for their age. We welcome the opportunity to have your child join us as we grow in God's Word together.
  
  
• Youth - The next generation is the future for the church and a hope for the world. We invest everything we can to build up youth and prepare them to live productive God-filled lives. We have several regular youth events: Power House meets every Wednesday, 180 group meets quarterly, and our upcoming Acquire the Fire Lincoln Rally 2008 is right around the corner. We also have a summer youth camp that's an awesome and life-changing experience for many youth from around the community.
  
  
• Ministry in Arts - This encompasses anything relating to the fine arts other than music. Flags, dance, songwriting, pantomime, drama, decorating and church beautification are all important needs in the body of Christ. If you enjoy working with the arts, there is a place for that in the church.
  
  
• Helps and Hospitality - This is a ministry that every believer is a part of. From helping to provide meals for families in need or comforting those in saddening situations, we're all ministers of the compassion of Christ.
  
  
• Men and Women - We have various events throughout the year focusing on men and women. Men's prayer breakfasts, mother and daughter luncheons, golf outings, etc. Building each other up in the Lord so that we all can be great fathers, husbands, mothers, wives, and citizens in the Kingdom of God.
